Tracy's Oil Experience
The 2nd week of February Tracy finally got to go to Kentucky with me. I had gone quite a few times to check on our oil interests out there without her, but this time I decided to take her along. Ivan, Tracy's dad is an investor in the oil with us and he came too. I think she and her dad had fun and got to see some parts of the country they had not been before. We flew into Nashville, TN and because we are all country music fans we made a quick stop to the Grand Ol' Oprey. We were too late for a tour and didn't want to wait for the next one so we just looked at the gift shop. It was cool, but would have been better if we could have taken the tour...maybe next time!
We then went into Kentucky to check on our oil wells, it was a good trip as usual and we got quite a bit done, Tracy just struggled with the smell. Oil and the natural gas associated with it puts off a nice sulphur smell and with her being pregnant she was not impressed! Hopefully next time she goes it will be easier on her stomach.

Tracy's Birthday
Tracy turned 31 on February 17th and like always I had to give her a hard time because she is older than me. Because her big day was on a Tuesday so she got to take the night off from cutting hair, so we just partied as a family. Some day I'll get enough ambition to throw her a surprise party. I did however make her a really good cake with strawberry daiquiri mix drizzled on top and inside!
Our crazy kids!
We love our kids so much! We think they are the cutest kids on the planet and they do some of the funniest things too. Kolby has gone from having a mouthful of teeth to looking like a Jack-O-Lantern, Shelby loves to be a girl and along with her girly attitude changes her clothes numerous times a day, and Cooper is so funny learning to talk. His favorite words are "Boaby", "Belby", "NO!!", and "Right NOW!!"
Shelby's red shirt is actually a 6-9 month dress that she found in the "go away" pile...
We had big plans for the kids spring break to go camping. We sold our old camp trailer and bought one we can put our 4-wheelers in and we were excited to go to southern Utah to try it out. We were already to go and everything was packed up, but Kolby had different plans. He decided to get sick the night before with a bad fever and throwing up. This continued for a few days and then Shelby and Cooper got it too, and then Kolby fevered again. Needless to say, we had to postpone our camping trip as this sickness lasted about 10 days!
Shelby's Birthday
April 21st was Shelby's 4th birthday. She had a "princess" party with all her friends. Tracy worked hard making princess skirts for all the girls that were invited and the boys got foam swords and shields. They played pin the kiss on the frog, and then they had to slay the dragon (Dad) and save the princesses. The final event was the pinata which was a big hit.
This year both Kolby and Shelby are in soccer. Kolby played last year and picked up right where he left off, he is fun to watch! Kolby loves to run and kick the ball. This year the teams are starting to play some basic positions and Kolby has done them all. His team is pretty good, even though they don't keep score, they usually win. The game he had last Saturday as we were getting out of the car he hopped out and said "I just know I am going to play awesome this game, I can feel it!" And he did play really good, we are very proud of him. Shelby is getting better. She said she wanted to play, but when it comes down to it, she really wants to flirt with the boys on her team. I think she has kicked the ball 3-4 times total in all her games, but she is starting to have fun and actually run after the ball now. She has come a long way from the first game of the year when it was cold and rainy, she stood on the soccer field saying "I just want to go home, Mom." She has made some strides, we are proud of her too.
